The Community Labour Adjustment Centre is a service funded through Employment Ontario and private sources. We work closely with all Federal, Provincial and Municipal governments to assist workers to adjust after being laid off or suffering a plant closure.

We are in the position to offer to prospective employers our services at no charge. Our large database allows us to identify the best applicants to suit your hiring requirements. We specialize in streamlining the selection process by identifying the skills and education needed to ensure that your training costs are minimized.

Through our close ties with all levels of government we may also be able to assist you with securing wage and/or training subsidies for your newly hired employees.

Our centre is very proactive when it comes to education and training. To date we have organized several very successful programs. We have now delivered two, one day Lift Truck Certification sessions with a third scheduled for late February. There were also two longer term programs. The first was an Upskilling Course for Skilled Trades Workers and the other is a Food Service Worker program at St. Clair College where we have 19 students enrolled. There are other training programs that we will be looking to offer in the very near future. These will range from Heavy Equipment Operator for construction work to First Aid and CPR to WHMIS to Facilities Maintenace Mechanic.

As a potential employer you can no doubt see that we have something rather unique to offer. Well trained, educated and experienced workers all located under the same roof. We would welcome the opportunity to discuss with you at your convenience what we can offer whether you need full time or temporary employees.

If you feel we can be of service to you please contact John Toth at 519-256-6142 or e-mail him at labouradjustment@yahoo.com
